Karen
Killebrew is the owner of Nature Media Network. She spent 30 years
in the retail travel industry and is an advocate of ecotourism,
nature tourism and outdoor recreation. She is experienced in tourism
marketing, database management, and customer outreach. She has organized
educational seminars and forums for a variety of tourism and other
organizations.
Karen
is a member of the Board of PlacerGROWN, an agricultural marketing organization in Placer County, California. She completed six years on the Board of The International Ecotourism Society (TIES) in 2005,
and is a former Director of Partners in Responsible Tourism (PIRT)
in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is a Life Member of The Travel Institute, a Supporting Member of The Outdoor Writers Association of California and a member of the Sierra Business Council.
